So I have a little second cousin who is obsessed with The Year Without A Santa Claus’ Heat Miser. It’s watched year round. When asked what theme he wanted for his 3rd birthday party this past August, he answered: Heat Miser.
While he is part of a Christmas tale, that flaming hair does go nicely with scorching August temperatures.
The littlest Heat Miser requested chocolate cupcakes, so I did just that.
I did my favorite chocolate cupcake recipe topped with a super yummy and creamy vanilla buttercream.
I dyed half the frosting orange, half the frosting yellow, put it side by side in a piping bag (as best I could) and then gave each cupcake it’s own fiery coif. That is MY favorite part of the Heat Miser. I topped them off with some sugar sprinkles, and that was that.
Birthday boy loved them. “Heaaat Miserrr.”
We did have a little cutout of the 2012 Hallmark Heat Miser ornament on a skewer to stick in birthday boy’s cupcake, but he wouldn’t put it down! These would’ve also been cute with some Heat Miser cupcake toppers.
Heat Miser Birthday Boy, thanks to my friend Mattyo.

hahahah wow! I love that movie too. Those would be very fun Christmas desserts!
Thanks, definitely good for Christmas! He obviously couldn’t wait till then though ;-].
